Next Friday (June 21) at 4:30pm, join us in the BRC courtyard for our first tie-dye fun of the summer! ALL ARE WELCOME!
BYOT: Bring your own t-shirt (or tote bag, bandana, pillowcase, etc...pre-washed 100% cotton is best) to tie-dye
Some things to mention:
- the dye will stain your clothing, if you want to avoid this please bring something to cover your clothes (apron, etc) or bring a spare set of clothing that you won't mind getting dye on
- we will be tie-dying at the BRC and placing items in Ziploc bags for you to bring home where your dyed clothes will "incubate" for 8-24 hours (after incubating, it is recommended you microwave your tie dyed item in its bag for one minute before rinsing out the dye). So, you will bring your dyed items home in a plastic bag and then rinse and wash the items at your home
- If you are an avid home baker and own a cooling rack, please bring it to the event! We will use them to elevate items while we are dying them (so the dye does not pool on one side of the item)
We will have some snacks to share while we get our craft on, and stick around for beveraginos at 5pm!
