The winners of the 2019 JEB Outstanding Paper Prize are Kephra Beckett and Anne Roberts, from the University of British Columbia,Canada, for their work on spittlebug breathing in xylem sap foam.
Almost a year ago, on Feb 2, 2019, research by Kephra Beckett and others from the Matthews lab, was published in the Journal of Experimental Biology.
