Congratulation to Mary O'Connor who was just awarded the Steacie Prize for Natural Sciences Award!
"The Steacie Prize is named in memory of E.W.R. Steacie, a physical chemist and former President of the National Research Council of Canada, to whom much is owed for the development of science in Canada. The Prize is awarded annually to a young scientist or engineer in Canada.
The Steacie Prize is administered by the Trustees of the E.W.R. Steacie Memorial Fund, a private foundation dedicated to the advancement of science and engineering in Canada."
Mary joins Sally Otto, who was awarded this prize in 2007
