Go green, and carpool to B.C.!

During the afternoon of Friday, March 28th, 2008 public presentations by C. elegans researchers will take place at the Point Grey campus of the University of British Columbia. This free event is organized by the same people who brought you the Spring 2007 Seattle-Vancouver Worm Meeting at FHCRC in Seattle on April 20th, 2007. The principal organizers would like to remind everyone that carpooling is considered to be a more green-friendly option for trekking through our beloved Pacific Northwest; one could also minimize one's carbon footprint further by cycling, walking, or riding public transit to the venue. Regardless of your prefered mode(s) of transportation, we look forward to seeing you in Vancouver!

The 2nd Seattle-Vancouver Worm Meeting will be held at the Michael Smith Laboratories at UBC. Nearby accomodations, also on the Point Grey campus, are available for a conference rate of $129.00 per night (discounted from $169). This meeting is jointly produced by volunteers from worm labs in both Seattle and Vancouver. And we are very appreciative of our sponsors, the Fermentas, Fisher Scientific and Macrogen corporations, for their support of these cutting-edge research seminars on topics in molecular biology, neuroscience, biotechnology, and bioinformatics.
