About the Joint Worm Meeting organizers

This free event is organized by the same dedicated volunteers who successfully brought you the Spring 2007 Seattle-Vancouver Worm Meeting at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center (FHCRC) in Seattle, Washington on the 20th of April 2007. The tireless principal organizers remain the same, even though the venue has shifted to Canada from the USA.

The 2nd Seattle-Vancouver Worm Meeting will be held during the afternoon of Friday, March 28th, 2008 at the Michael Smith Laboratories at UBC in Vancouver, British Columbia. Nearby accomodations, also on the Point Grey campus, are available for a conference rate of $129.00 per night (discounted from $169). This meeting is jointly produced by volunteers from worm labs in both Seattle and Vancouver, showcasing the fruit of their laboratory labours, for which we are thankful. And, we'd like to thank Harold N. Frazier of the Roth Lab for having done a great job in organizing the 1st Seattle-Vancouver Joint Worm Meeting last spring, and for helping us set up this follow-up meeting.  We'd also like to thank our sponsors, the Fermentas, Fisher Scientific and Macrogen corporations, for their ongoing enthusiastic support of these cutting-edge research seminars on topics in molecular biology, neuroscience, biotechnology, and bioinformatics.
