Luxurious accomodations at a discounted rate await visiting C. elegans researchers on the coastal campus of the University of British Columbia (UBC). The campus itself is in the midst of Pacific Spirit Regional Park, which offers ample opportunities for hiking, biking and sightseeing. Nearby are the West Point Grey and Kitsilano neighborhoods of Vancouver, which are comparatively similar to Queen Anne Hill and Capitol Hill in Seattle, respectively. You can learn more about being pampered by UBC's Conference Services here, but bear in mind that there are also many options nearby in greater Vancouver that are easily reachable via public transit, which would satisfy lodging aspirations ranging from the spartan to the luxe.
The 2nd Seattle-Vancouver Worm Meeting will be held at the Michael Smith Laboratories at UBC. Nearby accomodations, also on the Point Grey campus, are available for a conference rate of $129.00 plus tax per night (discounted from $169). Apparently, 4 people can sleep comfortably in one of those suites. More info: West Coast Suites.
Other Vancouver accomodation options are searchable at this online list.
