Mike is a member of the Department of Zoology, Life Sciences Institute, and Centre for Brain Health. He completed his BSc at McMaster University, where he worked on signal transduction during development; his PhD at Stanford, working on Wnt signaling; and his postdoc at UC Berkeley, working on fly taste circuits. A full list of Mike’s publications can be found on Google Scholar.
Kevin (Yihang) Pan
Postdoctoral Fellow
Kevin received his PhD from University of Ottawa, where he worked on breathing regulation in larval zebrafish. In the Gordon lab he is working to uncover novel ligand-receptor interactions in insects.
Jinfang Li
Postdoctoral Fellow
Jinfang recently defended her PhD from the lab, during which she primarily investigated the logic of higher-order taste circuits in the fly brain. She is now continuing to work on taste processing, with a particular interest in sugar circuits.
Zack Marshall
PhD Candidate
Zack is in the Zoology Graduate Program. He received his BS in Neuroscience and Psychology from the University of Colorado Boulder, studying social stress in rats. He then worked in Dr. Jessica Nelson’s lab at University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, examining sensory-evoked behaviours in zebrafish larvae.
Cindy Wang
MSc Student
Cindy is a graduate student in Zoology. She received her BSc in Biology from Western University, where she worked on insect ecology.
