UBC's new sustainability website (www.sustain.ubc.ca) showcases the areas in which sustainability issues are being addressed at the university. UBC courses with a sustainability designation are profiled on the website: courses are allocated to one or more "sustainability categories" based on a modified 3 pillar model of sustainability (environment, society, economy + technology; for a detailed description see: http://sustain.ubc.ca/teaching-learning/curriculum/courses).
This list will be helpful in selecting electives for those students who are interested in building a “sustainability learning pathway” within their overall biology program.
