Join us for the next Sex and Gender Inclusivity Community of Practice meeting
Zoom option available here: https://ubc.zoom.us/j/63230287979?pwd=XSDGTwaHpu6mBZ5XfAVJZ4ViMKzC1h.1
Join us for a discussion on how we can build capacity for broader efforts towards teaching sex and gender in biology in ways that are just, nuanced, and biodiversity-informed. We will use the paper by Casper and colleagues to think about how efforts in our program can incorporate changes concurrently at the classroom/curriculum level and at a more structural level. Casper and colleagues propose a framework to imagine educational change through multiple “loops”—we will discuss how we can apply this framework at UBC and how we can work towards moving the loops together.
All are welcome! We encourage you to join the discussion, even if you didn’t read the paper or have limited background in the topics we will be discussing. If you have any questions, please reach out to Christine Goedhart at christine.goedhart@botany.ubc.ca.
