Clare Kilgour, a Ph.D. student in the Schulte and Wood labs, who is working on the “Road Salt and Pacific Salmon Success Project has won the Hugh Hamilton Memorial Scholarship, provided by Nature Vancouver. The scholarship recognizes students who demonstrate strong academic standing, a commitment to conservation and natural history, and meaningful involvement in volunteer, leadership, or community-based environmental initiatives. This alignment with Nature Vancouver’s objectives reflects the spirit of Hugh Hamilton’s legacy through their interest in nature education, stewardship, and engagement with the natural world.
